Twelve thousand euros. That’s nearly $13,000. Or if you’re counting in street food terms, about 400 bowls of phở, every day for a year. That’s also the going scam rate a so-called Vietnam visa agent charges for a fake golden ticket: a bogus work visa to Europe. The pitch? “You’ll earn €4,000 a month as a chef in a luxury hotel,” they say. Sounds like a dream, right? Thousands of Vietnamese fall for it.
Reality check: They end up flipping kebabs in Bavaria for minimum wage if they’re lucky. Every euro they earn goes straight to repaying a crushing debt they took out to chase the lie. This isn’t just a scam. It’s a pipeline of exploitation built on false promises, shady paperwork, and a silent nod from embassies that rubber-stamp despair.
Today, we tear the whole thing open. We’re exposing the Vietnam visa scam no one wants to talk about. We’re calling out the agents selling snake oil, the officials looking the other way, and the systems that prey on desperation. Whether it’s a fake Vietnam business visa or a shady route to Europe, the scams are real, widespread, and ruining lives.
So who’s really to blame? The visa agents? The corrupt middlemen? The embassies? Or the families crushed by poverty, willing to believe anything when 5 million dong has to feed six mouths?
Let’s talk about the scam in Vietnam no one wants to face!
